Scotland Celebrates Up & Coming Fashion Talent

The catwalk showcase took place in the newly refurbished TV Studio at SWG3 in Glasgow’s West End in collaboration with Creative Scotland. 250 guests crammed into the pre-show drinks reception sipping on fizz and craft beersbefore making their way to their seats.
Sitting on the front row were international fashion industry experts, including the inimitable designer April Crichton, owner of Anoushka, Anoushka Ducas, fashion business advisor, David Watts, fashion editor, blogger and stylist to the stars DisneyRollerGirl and [VeryExclusive.co.uk]VeryExclusive.co.uk PR Manager Laura Ronnie Nelson.
The night showcased the talents of nine Scottish fashion and accessories designers, all of whom were chosen from a rigorous application process.
Showcasing in the womenswear category was Rebecca Torres and her graphic swimwear, Isolated Heroes in all their glitzy glamour contrasting with the elegant Elizabeth Martin Tweed (pictured left). Chosen to exhibit their menswear collections were the loud and pom-pomtastic Cats Brothers (pictured below right), Dundonian coat and jacket maker Kerrie Aldoand M.G Gabriel’s minimalistic structural pieces. Finally, the chosen three accessories designers were backpack designer Obar, Scottish merino and cashmere accessories Edition Scotland and delicate printed silk, Silken Favours.
The night continued on with after party featuring guest DJ’s and Sub Club residents Thunder Disco Club.
