LFW S/S 14: Yifang Wan
13-09-2013
To say that Yifang Wan’s S/S 14 collection was blinding is certainly no lie. Literally, the models were blinded with jewel covered and coloured-out sunglasses; featuring in emerald green, sapphire blue, charcoal black and flint grey.

The glamour element was played down with a simple aesthetic of asymmetrical lines and shapes that in turn allowed the clothes to hang loosely around the body, with one sided skirts and dresses. Slits featured heavily with shirts and skirts gathered, pleated and cut away, which paired well with the elements of asymmetry, revealing doubled up layers and flickers of bare skin.
The show-stopping shades weren’t the only element of sparkle there was, as the matte palette of charcoal black and flint grey soon gave way to shimmering emerald green and stone grey lurex and added both playful and futuristic elements that tied in well with the simplicity of the shapes, and allowed them a little more spectrum to shine.
