LFW S/S 14: Yong Kyun Shin
17-09-2013
The collection featured a unique and unconventional selection of materials, in contrasting combinations. Thick zig-zagged stitches held panels of leather and other interesting textures and patterns together.
Studs framed the forms of sleek structured dresses, and lattice stretched across the skins of others, hiding underneath pops of blush pink and stone grey.

Stiff and striking features such as sharp lapels and jagged hems toughed up the looks, with exaggerated ovoid-shaped shoulders creating something of an otherworldly silhouette.
The combinations of texture and materials gave the collection a balance between a variety of different weights, as well as a tough femininity that delivers a strong message; the girl may be broken, but she’s still got one hell of a bite.
