LFW Feb 14: Busardi

Conveying a darker side to their famous romantic aesthetic Busardi Muntarbhorn described the A/W 14 collection saying; “My girls are no longer prim and proper this season. While holding onto the romantic essence of the brand, I decided to give this collection subversive and wicked edge. For with the rose, comes the thorn…”

The presentation did just that and displayed a new look for Busardi, a colour palette of dark hues and tones, the collection was full of black, navy and regal purples and a darkened rose motif making an reoccurring appearance. The models were styled with hair scraped back and black lipstick.

Along with the darkened hues, the designs featured shorter cuts, sheer panelling and high-rise slits which really highlighted the change of direction for this label, bringing something different for a new generation.

They did, however, manage to keep their trademark dress silhouettes, although shorter and more sinister, key pieces were richly layered with lace, satin and silk.

The beautiful embroidery and prints really stood out, every piece blossomed and you would most certainly feel elegant and stylish in each Busardi design.
