LFW Feb 14: Hema Kaul

The collection was designed to bring together feminine silhouettes and practicality, which is always useful!

Hema Kaul known for travelling the world for inspiration and sourcing materials that appeals to confident women. Along with this notion Kaul went for a ‘new look’ that inspires women to embrace their figures and show off their femininity.

Starting off with crisp whites and creams the collection progressed into pastel greys, dark blues and reds. The combination of silk, velvet and leather detailing really brought together the modern aesthetic within these 1950s inspired designs.

Amongst the peplum dresses and full skirts were some gorgeous jumpsuits, standout pieces to create the effect Kaul was trying to achieve in showing-off the female form. To sum up the collection was effortlessly beautiful with a large dash of commercial appeal to boot.
