LFW Feb 13: SSOMO LFW Highlights

20-02-2014

feb_14_lfw_ssomo_mixLondon Fashion Week started with smiles, hearts, kisses and chocolates. The combination of Valentine’s Day and the first day of London Fashion Week can be easily rated as the best day of the year, and so it all began.

A handful of selected fashion industry professionals prepared invitations, printed out daily schedules, checked digital equipment, put on the highest heels, funkiest ties and took off to cover London Fashion Week as SSOMO Fashion Consultancy team members.

Autumn/Winter 2014 new collection presentations and fashion shows took place all around the town while Kristine Stranga’s highlight of LFW inspiration was found in the courtyard of the Somerset House. It was a real life non-stop street catwalk for the industry’s insiders; press, buyers, bloggers, photographers and fashion lovers from all around the world.

Bubbly champagne was flowing throughout the week, be it film screenings, showrooms, presentation, press events or networking parties and even bubblier conversations sparked up discussions about catwalk trends, favourite designers and looks spotted for the next season.

Jing Lu remembers House of Holland fashion show as her favourite- the ambience, fun, young and colourful collection was all in perfect harmony. And the cherry on top of the cake was the fantastic show space.

Tony Zhang took wonderful photos of Pringle of Scotland fashion show. SSOMO team members are loyal customers of the brand- the new collection is on our want list. Moreover, The Savile Club as the fashion show venue was an ever-sophisticated choice.

David Koma’s talent was appreciated by Yunqi Qiang, who captured the highlights and trends of her favourite designer’s collection from the front row.

Estethica, Headonism and Rock Vault showrooms displayed some wonderful products that SSOMO looks forward to ordering on behalf of our Chinese clients. International buying was our main focus this year but we also noticed that additional benefits included encouragements to network between industry professionals, discovery of new luxury and quality designers from all around Europe, possibilities for future collaborations and having generally a blast at one of the most vibrant and colourful fashion weeks in the world.

Thanks to Yunqi and her team.
