LFW Feb 14: Belle Sauvage A/W 14/15
27-02-2014
The feline attributes within the collection were injected throughout the line, and it was the essence of the night that was shared by the modern Belle Sauvage women. It was she, and the collections muses that centered on the seasons range, embracing the Parisian nightlife, along with a military touch that seemed present throughout. “Paris Cats after Midnight” conveys their mainline Belle Sauvage and the diffusion line Leopard, ultimately displaying an assembly of looks whilst merging together the strength and power of a woman. This was fused with a playful spirit, in which the topics approach cast an interesting vibe.

Delivering an intricate look of an iconic woman, the collection features an arrangement of strong structured silhouettes and soft sheer fabrics, along with faux fur collar detailing and leather paneling. These elements paraded the duo’s complex referencing and showcased the dark and seductive side of French femininity through the narrative. The London – Luxembourg duo bared all in this fabulous, fearless collection, championing gold chains and red lipstick bold prints that were on just about every single garment possible – hooded jumpers, pantaloon trousers, belted fur line coats, silk shorts, structured dresses, ballooning sleeved crop tops and scarf’s.

A mixture of fabrics mirrored the infusion behind the collection, including silk duchesse, satins, stretch chiffons, the finest merino wool, napa leather and faux furs. Combining the attributes from both lines, Belle Sauvage incorporated a strong colour palette of blacks, pearl whites, gold’s and scarlet’s, obtaining pop youth and modern sophistication.

Standout ensembles included a gorgeous scarlet, cheer chiffon cape draped over a sleek gown, a floor-length structured military style coat with black leather paneling and not forgetting the gold chain and red lipstick print hooded jumper that adorned a quirky black leather double peplum bottom. Accessories were showcased through black and red hats that each featured several gold chains that draped under the chin and around the neck, and not forgetting the edgy half-cut black leather gloves.
