Winners Angel Jackson “straight from the heart”

 

We are delighted to have won the Topshop ‘New Designer’ award at this year’s Select Profile 5 event. It was held at Vinopolis in London, which is a truly amazing venue – we were very excited about having the opportunity to showcase our new collection there. The event was organised by the London Fashion Forum who certainly made it a day to remember!!

It was such a lovely surprise to hear Angel Jackson announced as the winner of the award at the end of the night and a real honour to be presented the award by Jane Shepperton, Brand Director for Topshop and Zhandra Rhodes, who is a great inspiration for many designers.

The £5000 prize money will have such a huge impact on the future of the brand. We plan to use some of it towards exhibiting at Pulse in May and the rest will contribute towards showing at Who’s Next in Paris, in September this year. These trade shows will give us the opportunity to reach a large number of buyers, both from the UK and abroad.

Key pieces from our collection were featured in Womenwear Designer, Michael Azuâs catwalk show as well as on the Accessories Parade, which was a real thrill.

The Chandra snakeskin clutches looked amazing next to Michael’s beautiful tailored coats – they complimented each other brilliantly.

Other pieces from the collection were a huge hit at the event. We had a lot of interest from buyers regarding our Romany collection two tone snakeskin bags and purses embellished with hand painted and lacquered brooches.  Our range of woven leather belts seemed to be a big hit as well!!

Overall, we are delighted with the outcome of the event and would like to thank all those involved –  thank you, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!!!
