03-12-2010

The College of Haringey Enfield and North East London is one of the country’s largest colleges of further education with almost 20,000 students. We specialise in vocational education and training which is especially relevant to employment, meeting both employer needs and career success. Over 400 apprentices train with us each year from all of our curriculum areas and the creative industries are steadily growing in popularity. Our courses are equally relevant for higher education and 600 of our Level 3 learners progressed to university last year.
The College holds Beacon Status, which means we are in the top ten per cent of best performing colleges nationally and we have the prestigious Training Quality Standard (TQS) for the whole of our provision. This means the quality of our work has been rigorously quality assured.
Creativity is at the heart of everything we do and we are especially proud of our Fashion Students. We offer a two-year course in Fashion and Clothing BTEC Diploma/Extended Diploma Level 3, which is equivalent to three A Levels. Students on the course usually progress to university to continue their studies in related degrees such as fashion, textiles and marketing – or they move into employment.
The College offers 14 curriculum areas to choose from including: Art, Design and Media, Business, Accounting and Administration, Construction, Hair and Beauty, Health and Care, ICT and Computing, Science, Sport and Public Services, Travel and Tourism and Teacher Training.
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London formed in August 2009 from the merger of the College of North East London (Conel) and Enfield College.
