Company Overview
Maxine’s of London is a luxury lingerie label wholesaling to small boutiques, and retails through the online website. All pieces are designed, sampled and handmade in house.
Maxine’s Lingerie Creatives is a sample-making unit that provides an excellent service for small to medium lingerie businesses, dealing with a number of clients on a variety of projects. Services include designing, sourcing, pattern cutting, grading, and small production runs.
Both businesses are based in a South East London studio, and are single-handedly run by myself.
The Candidate
It is required that the successful candidate has a flexible and pro-active manner, who relishes the opportunity to experience all areas of a small fashion company.
Any previous fashion experience would be preferred and some computer/networking skills would be a bonus.
Job Role
The daily tasks will involve industry research, fabric sourcing, creating mood boards, garment quality control, administration and updating websites. Depending on level of capability you may also assist with the pattern cutting and production.
Maxines of London seeking to employ an apprentice instantly; however there will be a trail period to ensure the relationship will be sustainable for the duration of the 18month contract. You will be working with Maxine’s of London 4 days each week and will attend Fashion Enter’s Workshop or Factory one day a week and will be registered as a student with the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London. Upon completion of the 18 month contract you will have a Level 3 Diploma in Fashion & Textiles (Apparel Pathway).
Pay
As an apprentice, the minimum amount that is required to be paid by the employer is £100 per week as stipulated by government.
