• 5 GCSE’s grade C or above  Including Maths and English 
• Do not have a degree or NVQ above Level 3
• Are eligible to work in the UK
• Are aged 16-21

Job Descriptions 1:

2 quality controllers in training positions available

Jewel Collections is looking to employ two candidates for quality control

 

The job will entail

• Understanding patterns and blocks
• Relating patterns and blocks to the right fabric having due regard for the style (such as drape, pockets, linings et al)
• How to measure a garment
• Understanding body and block measurements – the form of a mannequin and live body must be reviewed
• Be prepared to undertake fitting sessions with clients
• Work with the design team to create collections that will be put into production for both in house label and also clients
• Undertaking sealing procedures of pre production and post production (green or black sealing)
• Conduct in work checks both at factory locations and in house

 

Generic requirements are

• A happy disposition and strong work ethic
• To work well in a team environment
• Also be able to work independently but will be supervised at all times.
• Previous fashion experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite
• A passion for fashion a must!
