I would like to say that I’ve studied fashion and textiles since leaving school but instead I pursued photography. I studied Photography and Media for GCSE and A-Level, which prepared me for my degree in Digital Photography at London South Bank University.

After graduating I was employed by a family friend to help set up a new business, a clothes boutique with a workshop that provided local people
with classes such as, Making an A-line skirt, Pattern Cutting and complete beginner classes teaching people how to use a sewing machine. While working within this employment, I attended all of those classes and assisted family friend in the designing of the garments and did the pattern cutting.
As well as doing that, I did the PR/advertising, created the website, all the photography for the website and the store, created a Facebook and Twitter account for the business AND working the shop floor! But as most of you may know, you do not go into business with a friend, it does become personal and very stressful, so to keep my sanity I left and 2 days later Jenny Holloway caught wind and had me drinking coffee with her talking about when I will be starting at Fashion Enter. I don’t at the moment have a set goal or know exactly what I want to do within the Fashion Industry because every new thing I try I seem to enjoy and be able to do. So it will be interesting to see where I end up after this year.
