Location:

Florentia Clothing Village, Manor House.

Job Description:

Assistant Pattern and Grading Technologist on the Level 3 Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship programme.

As an apprentice you will have some experience in patterns and grading but more importantly a real willingness and enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills in the area of sampling, fabric and design. You will be using CAD programmes to digitize and grade patterns. Training will be provided on pattern development, grading and computerized grading to someone with a basic knowledge.

As we are a small company there will be plenty of opportunity to be involved in related aspects of garment manufacture, and to see the whole process from design through to delivery. You will visit the designers from our suppliers, accompanied by a member of the team, to understand the decisions of the designers and how we implement those decisions into the garment. You will also be present when samples are made and taken for approval, and will have opportunities to see key stages of production. Ideally, after time you will begin to assist in the development of our own styling.

Immediate start required.
