 Preparation of the fabric – cut out the pattern

 Mark the pattern onto the fabric including all notches

 Run the gathering threads and tack pleats into position

 Sew together basic sections of a garment for fitting

 Put garment onto mannequin or person for fitting

 Complete final alterations

 Disposal if sullness – darts, pleats, tucks and smokcing

 Sew shoulder seams and planel lines

 Make and attach pockets, prepare bound buttonholes

 Attach collar

 Front and neck facings, completion of bound buttonholes

 Complete side seams

 Wrist opening, sleeve seam, cuff and/or sleeve edge neatening

 Insert sleeve, face armhole if there are no sleeves

 Plackets and zip fasteners

 hemline after final panel

 Final press

 Attach buttons, hooks, eyes and press studs.
