Update at The Workshop

With the New Year now if full swing our Stitch in Time program is off to a great start. This week we have new students Cath Carver, Rosemary Nwankwo and Patricia Whyte joining the ranks in the hopes to improve their patternmaking skills and learn new aspects to the fashion industry.

Cath primarily focused on building her own label is focused in advancing her basic pattern making skills and absorbing as much information about the design cycle as possible, while Rosemary on the hunt for a job in manufacturing is much more focused with the production side of the industry. Patricia, still un-sure of her dream job has been enjoying the patternmaking side of the course.

Over the past few months The Workshop has been working with start up label Eponine. Upon graduation designer Anna Ruberg was approached at the 2009 Royal College of Arts Ma fashion show by Jet Scardale. Jet impressed with Anna's ability to project a clear vision through design hired Anna to design a new collection and bring Jet's ideas to life. In October the two approached Fashion Enter about production and thus far the working relationship has worked our fantastically for both sides.

Eponine is a line of mod dresses inspired from the fifties and sixties. The styles have been reworked and updated with fresh combinations of luxurious leathers and rich jersey knits. Keep an eye out for Eponine it's bound to be a winner!
