Do you know where to find all of these things under one roof? We do – the City Business Library in the City of London. All our information is FREE to use, the only catch is that you need to visit the Library. The Library is a public library funded by the City of London Corporation, so anyone can come along to use the valuable reference sources. We have newspapers, books and magazines to help you run your business, but the best things are the online sources – we buy these so you don’t have to – just come along to the Library and use them.
We have sources like “Drapers”, “Global apparel update”, “Retail week”, “Key Note” market research, Data monitor and Euro monitor market research data, “Retail directory” (to find names of retail buyers), etc.
You can’t borrow anything from us, but it is possible to download or copy small bits of information (within copyright law). Always bring a memory stick when you come.
There are lots of events too (we have between 40 and 60 a month). Seminar subjects vary from Business planning to Social media to Presentation skills. They’re all advertised on Eventbrite Why not come along to The Business of Fashion evening that we’re holding with Fashion Capital on the 3rd October – click here for more details and to book.
If you need more information, why not have a look at our web pages or send us an e-mail cbl@cityoflondon.gov.uk or give us a call 020 7332 1812. Would you like to join our mailing list and receive information about what’s happening at the Library and news of our partner organisations?
We’ll look forward to seeing you.
