Will £50 million help you get your degree?

UCLan has just spent £50 million on new student facilities, including new teaching buildings for our Business School and a huge extension to our famous Students’ Union.

UCLan offers a £1,000 per year scholarship to all students who come from homes where the main earner’s salary is less than £60,000.

Our main campus is in the heart of Preston, England’s newest city, with two smaller campuses in Penrith and Carlisle. The student population makes Preston a vibrant and cosmopolitan place to study.  UCLan is a modern, green oasis in the city centre with shops, pubs, clubs and eateries a short walk away and prices about the best in the country. There’s a lively nightlife and prices are about the best in the country.  The big cities of Manchester and Liverpool are nearby, as is the Lake District and the great outdoors. The city itself is surrounded by some beautiful countryside.

We have a truly international focus and a thriving international student population of approximately 1,500 students, representing over 40 countries across the world.  We also have formal links with over 120 institutions worldwide and plenty of opportunities for students to study abroad as part of their degree.

All universities are subject to strict quality assessments and in the last five years UCLan has scored consistently high marks, with the highest possible marks in many subjects.  In fact, the Sunday Times University Guide 2004 said: “Our assessment of teaching quality shows UCLan has few rivals among the modern universities.”

UCLan’s strengths are what students care about most: employability, teaching quality, industry links, student support, modern facilities, flexibility, and widening participation.

We still have places for 2005-6.  Visit http://www.uclan.ac.uk and book a campus tour to see what £50 million can do for your studies.
