BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing
COURSE INFORMATION PROGRAMME INFORMATION Since being established as the first degree of its kind the BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing programme has gained an excellent reputation within the fashion industry. The degree’s principal aim is to explore the fashion design process from innovative concepts, through product development to promotion. Contemporary design influences, consumer behaviour and the dynamics of the marketplace are integrated into the programme.
The structure is unique in enabling students to pursue individual preferences. The programme concentrates on communication skills by developing in the student the ability to translate strategic thinking into reality through the application of fashion design, product development, new media, graphics, illustration and photographic styling and promotional techniques.
There is access to the full range of excellent studio facilities, including garment production workrooms, information technology resources, and photographic and film editing facilities. Students have been successful in national competitions and awards from prestigious companies.
Placements are undertaken during the second and third year of the programme, and although most are based in the UK, opportunities exist for placements to be taken abroad, in Europe and the USA.
