Introducing the Asian Dreams Programme
What is Asian Dreams?
Asian Dreams is a European funded non-profit making project delivered by the Centre for Innovation & Partnerships at Newham College. It supports, advises and assists British Asian fashion designers, manufacturers and retailers who live and work in East London. It can also support other fashion designers working or living in East London.
Which businesses can benefit?
Businesses based in the objective 2 wards of Newham, Tower Hamlets and Hackney and designers who live or work in these postcodes.
What assistance is offered?
Specialist business advise and training, including:
- Visual display training: How to use display techniques to maximise your sales and businesses profit margin.
- Digital photo shoot: Includes professional commercial photographer, photography studio and photographic equipment, stylist, production of approx 30-40 images within 2 weeks.
- Workshops: Asian Dreams runs workshops covering a variety of issues important to designers, manufacturers and retailers – including export, strategic marketing, reaching new markets and range planning as a way to increase sales.
- Website Specification training / consultation: Our web consultant gives one-to-one advice about how websites can help businesses, including topics such as: how to set-up a website, e-commerce, designing a website to suit your business requirements, improving your website and defining your specific needs.
- Buying and selling strategies: How to buy and sell products and define your customer base to maximise your businesses profit and turnover.
How much does it cost?
Most assistance is offered at no cost or at a very subsidised rate.
