The FashionCapital Challenge
08-02-2008
The
32 students were set three key challenges which included a full
business review of the site, SWOT analysis, marketing plan and actual
promotional concepts for both above and below the line marketing. The
pupils were outstanding and showed exceptional business acumen
including the opening of FashionCapital websites on Bebo, Face Book and
Myspace.
The week long Business Challenge accumulated with each of the
participating pupils making a presentation to Jenny Holloway, Director
of Fashion Enter Ltd, and also Hayleigh Amos, Retail Manager. The two-hour presentation was excellently executed and included DVD
presentations and adverts, Power-Point presentations and even a guitar
jingle for a proposed radio advert.
Hayleigh Amos commented: "I was so impressed with all the girls that
presented today. Their imagination and hard work really shone through
and some of the comments expressed were totally new to us. Well done to
everyone that participated in such an excellent project."
Jenny Holloway further commented: "Education
today needs to be accurately focused towards business matters and
concepts. The unison with EIA has proved to be very successful and our
many thanks to Eric for coordinating this project.
Sister Bernadette was an absolute inspiration too and encouraged the
girls to really think outside their box and provide a first class
review and presentation. This will only be the start of working with the
girls at Virgo Fidelis and we all look forward to the next initiative."
The rest of this article will be posted next week when we receive feedback
from the other teachers and EIA that have all worked hard to make this
project an outstanding success. More pictures will be posted in the gallery next week.
