Tailoring with Savile Row Tailors
FTM Fashion School

Tues 14 – Fri 24 Jan / 10.30am-4.30pm
Savile Row bespoke tailoring is renowned throughout the world, and British tailoring is synonymous with style and quality. Led by a Savile Row Tailor, this intensive course will give you a snapshot of the principles of bespoke tailoring, and the practical and technical skills used in the industry. Including tours of Savile Row the course explores the heritage and traditions of bespoke.

Museum Studies: Curating
FTM Fashion School

Mon 20 – Fri 31 Jan / 11am-5pm
Want to be a curator? Join the new Museum Studies Curating course to gain a practical introduction to curating fashion and textile exhibitions. For two weeks in January, the Fashion and Textile Museum is offering behind-the-scenes access to its staff, collections and expertise. If you are interested in a career curating fashion and textile displays, and want to increase your knowledge of the skills and work involved, this course is for you.

Pattern Cutting Introduction
Saturdays, 7 and 14 Dec / 11am-4.30pm
Led by Zandra Rhodes’ pattern maker Michelle Lewis, participants will cover the basic rules of flat pattern cutting to create womenswear garment components and will learn processes including dart manipulations and how to add fullness through gathers. £160

InDesign for Fashion and Textiles
Tues 10 – Thurs 12 Dec / 10.30am-4pm
This short course teaches you how Abode InDesign is used in the fashion and textile industry to develop publication and marketing material such as Range Plans and Look Books. £200
