Dresses nipped in at the waist with a brown woven belt with inserts of striped material on either side of the buckle went next to diagonal stripes on either side of the dress, connecting in the middle, drawing my eye into the centre of the waist, which was highlighted further by the direction of the stripes. Under a few dresses, shirts were worn, with the neck open but still stripped; they added a touch of neatness under such a flowing dress.

The tightly weaved champagne straw hats, had a thick black ribbon tied neatly in a bow around the middle, which reminded me of farmers in a field, yet Nicole Fahri's seemed to be a little more delicate!  Placed neatly on top of the models hat they appeared rather rigid and quite the opposite of the floaty dresses, which paraded around the circular catwalk.

Organza material had a see-through and slightly shinny appearance, they made up leggings or long sleeved shirts; which were worn underneath the dresses. It made the models appear to be wrapped in cellophane like brand new dolls, especially when wearing such girly tea-dresses.

Abstract, floral printed, knee length skirts went hand in hand with striped t-shirts worn underneath. The prints reminded me a lot of Moroccan prints, which added a sense of the collections having been travelling or perfect for trips abroad.

Nicole Farhri's s/s 09 collection was an incentive to get through the approaching winter so that we can begin to wear her collection as soon as possible. The flowing tea dresses and clinched in waist's oozed femininity. The straw hats and stripes worked so well and would fit in perfectly when travelling down the canal on a gondola in Venice. Sadly however, the collection doesn't come with a plane ticket!
