Silk and Satin, Princess Gold, Destiny Designs and Adedla Adetoun of Toun Fashion stole the show with their innovative creations after working on the 12 week fashion course at the Adult College. The designers had been preparing their collections over the last 6 weeks which also included visits to a printer, trimming agent and workshop. In addition the range planning behind the creations was also discussed in detail all culminating in a fashion show to be proud of produced by Syreeta McQueen from the Enter Boutique Barking, but also Alberta from the course.

Syreeta commented “We have had so much interest from the locals of Barking and Dagenham that they keep asking when the next fashion show is going to be held – it really was a great success! It was also great to be working with the fashion students from the Adult College; Qualeenand Alberta were just so hands on and very professional every step of the way”

Alberta further commented, “The Fashion show was a great finale to our course at the Adult College of Barking and Dagenham. It was tremendous to see my collection finally on the catwalk been worn by local models who all looked amazing. This is just what Barking should have – local designers using local models for the locals of Barking!”

The Fashion Entrepreneurs of the Adult College will now have the opportunity to sell their collections further in both Enter boutiques at Croydon and Barking plus they will all receive their free ecommerce boutiques on www.fashioncapital.co.uk
