LFW Feb 09 – Ashley Isham
24-02-2009
The collection began with winter white, florally imprinted coat. It set a cool and calm tones for the collection that featured, floral, monochrome prints, navy based brocades and gorgeous ruffles.
Isham has tried to create a more rock edge to his look. Models wore, black driving gloves, with tall hair and dark eye make-up. This sat well with the more eye popping, coloured dresses that were bejewelled to the max. Encrusted in purple toned jewels the models looked like sweetshops! Dresses tended to be asymmetric, swapping between one sleeve and asymmetric draping.

Fabrics as always were incredibly beautiful. White silks were embroidered with silver florals or appliquéd in either organza ruffles or embellished in metallic flowers. Brocade was shown earlier in the week at Costelloe and Isham followed suit with navy and black floral brocades in a host of floor length and shift style dresses. Again backs were slashed or featured cut out detailing, showing that these will all be top trend next season.

Trains and ruffles were all the detailing needed to create red carpet wonders that will be snapped up by the stars. There was a lot of beading and sparkle embellishment to create waist cinching details. Silk jersey drapery again, another Isham classic came in host of flattering and age transcending maxis in bronze, red and white.
Another strong, bold and typically Isham collection that will definitely satisfy celebrities, stylists and beautiful women around the world!
