Beauty4Media is part of the News4Media group, a great resource for journalists and PR's everywhere. News4Media covers everything from Cars to Clothes.
I was a little shocked as I turned up to the packed Jewel, an eastern themed bar, with cosy dimly lit corners and beautiful décor. It was a far-cry from the clinical PR event I was expecting. The atmosphere was friendly and laid back, this was probably related to the fact that all the drinks had run out by 8! People were chatting away and there was no reason to feel like a lemon turning up alone. Elemis products were scattered around the venue and everyone was taking full advantage, everyone felt soft, smooth and pampered!
Upstairs, in a room that was reminiscent of a Victorian Opium den (in a classy way). It was dark and there were poufs and low level seating around the room. In one corner there was a row of barely noticeable Elemis employees giving anyone willing to queue a hand and arm massage.
I waited and as I had my arms lathered in some gorgeous smelly oils I knew it was worth it. The Elemis girls were charming and a conversation with them was insightful and relaxed. We also got a sneak peak at the products in the goody bags!
The speeches were the usual drone, but thankfully these didn't last long. It was a quick overview of the News4Media group and a thank you to the venue and all of us for coming. There was also a prize draw. The prize was a gorgeous set of Elemis gift set worth over £320!

The night ended all too soon for me, I would have stayed a lot longer, having my arms oiled and rubbed while networking casually.
As I left I picked up a lovely goody back full of amazing smells and potions.
Some of them were a little defunct for me as I rarely do more than scrape off my make-up let alone rub in night cream and anti-wrinkle serum!
There are two Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing products, a gel mask and night cream that aim to resurface and re-texurise the upper layers of the skin. (I'll keep you posted on how this goes.)
There are also 3 Pro-Collagen products. A Marine Cream that aims to increase suppleness, firmness and elasticity and contains algae!
The other two I intend on using a lot! The first is the Pro-Collagen Body Serum. This is perfect to put on your upper arms, thighs, bum, belly and any other ‘wobbly bits' that are in need of firming! It's simple to use and apparently effective.
The other Pro-Collagen Radiantly Smooth Body Cream is a great body cream with a subtle gold shimmer, to add a little bit of glamour and glow. I can't wait to slather this over my collar bones and wear a tiny little dress and feel like a shimmery goddess!
I did enjoy being pampered but I don't think I've been converted to the cleanse, tone, moisturise, anti age rituals quite yet! Overall this was a really fun night, and very useful. A great place to meet people in the industry, I'm looking forward to the next one!
