After three years of intense verbal battles and fist fights of persistence and endurance…Finally, it's all coming together.
After SOS (Save Our Shop) campaigns…press and publicity parades….Finally, Enter boutique Croydon has grown legs of stability and wings of prestige and prominence.
Yes! when the going gets tough…the tough really does get going…So in March we did ‘get going.' And…Going…Going…Gone!
Gone into a New Era…Gone into a Fresh Fashion Facelift and into a ‘botox' of a boutique make over.
We tweaked and tidied our image! We installed new silver clothing rails…re-organized the layout…splashed fresh paint on the walls and re-defined visual merchandizing. We hosted fashion shows…Live djs….Centrale shoppers' dancing showdown…we had children singing in the window and proud parents laughing and cheering them on.
We took the spirit and feeling of summer and the seaside and transported it all the way to the boutique….we carefully and creatively placed sand, picnic basket, parasol, lounge chair, mannequin in a bikini, beach towel, a straw hat and a pair of designer sunglasses to finish the look…I was tempted to go sunbathing on the sand but had to keep reminding myself that I'm still in the boutique.
Say It…Think It…whatever IT is…We did!
We know all too well that image counts for a lot but it isn't everything…so we freshened our look then we went to work on our ‘personality.' Focus was now turned to customer care and support. We didn't just sell garments…we sold confidence! We encouraged them to celebrate their body and make fashion fun. We taught people how to wear want they want. We showed them how to wear their clothes instead of having the clothes wear them. It was challenging, rewarding and I would do it again at the drop of a hat….a straw hat!
After three years in Croydon and Centrale Shopping Centre, three years of frustration and failed support…Finally, Fashion Enter is no longer wrinkled like a raisin in the sun but has become a sun beam of creativity and originality.
Indeed when ONE door closes…many others open so watch this space for the follow up articles about our new training suite and the ‘ALL about ALLDERS' feature.
