Clothes Show Live comes to London!!
This weekend, Clothes Show Live came to the ‘Fashion Capital‘. With it, it brought guests such as Nicky Hamilton Jones, new boy band Vice and Glamour model come Equestrian Fashion Designer Katie Price aka Jordan. To keep with the Summer weather I made sure to make an appearance at Fashion Beach to see the What’s Hot and What’s Not in Swimwear this Summer!!

A vision in Pink, Nicky Hamilton Jones was talking all about Skin Care. She advised moisturiser, whether it cost £10 or £100 she says a daily moisturiser is a must have! She also suggested a skin serum under a day or night cream as she said that oils such as omega3 penetrate the skin 4 times deeper than a moisturising cream. She said that she wears a sun block all year round, telling us that UV Rays don’t just need protection from in the Summer but that they are everywhere all year round and that the are the main cause of wrinkles. She emphasizes that it isn’t about having money and the best products around but its about caring for your skin and protecting it the best you can.
Designer Beach

As soon as the Designer Beach Catwalk started you could see that the Brighter the Better! Contrasting tops and bottoms for girls and aluminous trunks for guys.
In men’s swimwear, loud patterns and colours are all about making a statement!! There is no need to be afraid of colour anymore! The brighter the better and the more contrasting the pattern is going to set you apart from the rest. They have accessorised with brightly coloured bracelets but also mixing with a neutral bandanna around the arm shows that there is such a thing as going over the top and that you need the more subtle colours to create the contrast that is sought after look this Summer. It also shows that even though you are just going swimming that accessories always make the outfit.

Exciting prints aren’t just dominating menswear. The statement Safari prints in this Summers dresses and accessories are coming through in swimwear too. This swimsuit uses a loud top half mixing a Safari print in blue and orange but then has a black bottom half using the same print as the top on the waste band to tie it all together.

These animal prints are also keeping with the trend of the season, whether a two tone leopard print one-piece or a zebra print two-piece, Spots and Stripes controversially come together in the same collection as the bigger the contrast the better!!!

Even though prints and colour are dominating the catwalk this season, we shouldn’t underestimate Classic! Simple white or black silhouettes give instant sex appeal without giving too much away. Wooden bead necklaces or bracelets add a current Safari twist to a timeless look.

A large summer hat lets you show that bit of extra skin while protecting you from the Summer rays.

New Boy Band Vice ended the Beach Fashion Show with songs from their forthcoming album. The guys mixture of Colour meets Vintage is very on trend. They are using neutrals such as black, whites and deep reds but then having bursts of vibrant pinks, greens and The Colour of the Season YELLOW to make a statement! Also adding metallic jackets to finish the look off, but most importantly their metallic and aluminous high-tops and Basketball boots took the Beach Catwalk by Storm.

And finally…

Last but in no way least, what everyone was talking about at weekends event was Katie Price aka Jordan’s first public appearance since her split with Peter Andre. Although you could tell her heart wasn’t in the right place she still looked amazing!!! I was stood in a queue of over 150 fans all wanting autographs and just as many onlookers all waiting to catch a glimpse of the former glamour model now equestrian fashion designer who was there to promote her new label Derby House… Ghetto Fabulous!!!
