The pupils at the City of London Academy Islington then went onto learn how to use SWOT analysis to justify and assist the process of making key decisions, which again can be taken to any field in any industry. The SWOT analysis technique consists of categorizing factors into the following:

Weaknesses
Opportunities
Threats

With all this in mind they were now ready to design and make their own garments which the pupils did with great creativity and enthusiasm.

'We were very pleased to have Fashion Capital working with us on our Social Enterprise Day, using recycled materials to create new designs. The students really took to the challenge and we have had great feedback from them and the teachers since. Many thanks to Jenny and Feride for facilitating a fun and interesting day!'

Karen Mangan, Enterprise and Community Development Coordinator
