Arzu Kaprol

Using a predominantly white palette, the unusual shapes were emphasised with exquisite detail. Commencing the show with a series of mini dresses each featuring the broad shoulder detail we were all wary of and seen so much this coming season, Karpol’s interpretation is surprisingly feminine for those not willing to jump on the full on power dressing band wagon.
Touches of red and grey were then introduced to the audience on a large collar accompanied with a black oversized bag and pencil skirt with pleat detail at the hips, further portraying the powerful yet feminine woman of today. Then followed an innovative asymmetric scoop back dress.
As the show progressed the collection elegantly shifted further towards the more feminine side of androgyny with long chiffon dresses literally floating down the catwalk in a trail of whites and reds. From off the shoulder jumpsuits to strapless maxi dresses, Kaprol’s celebration of feminine style overcame the surprisingly discreet shoulder era.
