Harold Tillman buys Aquascutum
08-09-2009

The Aquascutum label was founded in 1851 and opened its first UK factory in 1909. The previous Chief Executive of Aquascutum was Kim Winser who was the previous Marks and Spencer Executive and Chief Executive of Pringle. Winser walked out in May 09 after a management buyout at Marks and Spencer collapsed.
With a strong 343 workforce at Aquascutum and leading London Fashion Week brand Jaeger, combined sales of both Aquascutum and Jaeger are expected to reach in excess of £300million per annum.

Aquascutum is currently based in Corby, Northamptonshire and originally founded by tailor; John Enary who invented and patented the technique of shower proofing walls and was the first to introduce rain repellent textiles.
It was a delight to have Harold at our workshop last week and we wish this new venture every future success.
