Liz Earle Treatment Review
14-09-2009
What's so special?
For starters, the therapy rooms are really welcoming – inspired by the Isle of Wight they have a beachy yet cosy feel. A heated bed and a duvet ensure that you stay snug as a bug throughout the treatment – there's nothing worse than being cold whilst being pampered!
Then there's the therapist and the treatment…
A bit like when you do an aerobics class and you want your instructor to look like Elle Mcpherson and not like a sumo wrestler, you do kind of want your beauty therapist to look radiant and flawless – a testament to the brand and its products if you like.
Karen was just that – not only highly knowledgeable and talented in the art of facials, her skin was mesmerizingly smooth and healthy looking.
If she represented the Liz Earle way, then I wanted lots of it! And lots of it came. For an hour and a half the skin is cleansed and nurtured with oils, creams and treatments, whilst the body and mind get a total bliss-out of their own with a massage of the scalp, shoulders and arms. I floated out.
The results weren't truly visible until the next day when I noticed clearer, more even toned skin – like the circulation had been boosted and I looked alive – not grey and half-dead like most of the time! I actually didn't have to bother with foundation for nearly a week which was liberating as well
If you're not a fan of facials, the exciting news is that massage treatments are going to be coming soon. I'll be queuing at dawn!
