Eun Jeong : LFW Sept 09

18-09-2009

Who needs colour to jazz up a catwalk? That must have been what Eun Jeong was thinking when she designed her new Spring/Summer range for 2010.

With cream laced dresses and ivory silk shoes, this collection has every bit the essence of a French boudoir. Items were tight and fitted with drapes of beads and layers of ruffles, topped off with tiny crystal details that hung beautifully from all sides.

With the elegance of swans models graced the catwalk with smoky eyes, and backcombed hair that emphasised the soothing tones of the show. Delicately walking in what we would call baroque shoes, the heels boasted trains of glitter, feathers and silk bows that only Marie Antoinette to pull off.

Next out was a host of metallic treats, ranging from short chic dresses to glamorous jumpsuits. We can see us sashaying down the streets in one those, with their bright shimmery cuts and beaded belts. We hope we can find a bag to match! Showing off all the rights part of the body, these outfits are classically simple making a big statement.
The show was a mass of sparkle and shine without reeking of Christmas.

In fact, Eun Jeong has catered for the career woman in the cream suit, to the bride who wants to stand out. Keeping it cream echoes the class of a designer who is out to avert our eyes from colour.
