Styling EDDIE
20-07-2010
One of my many roles as a stylist is working with emerging artists and bands. This is possibly my favourite part as I am a closet rock band wannabe!
Working with musicians is completely different to a fashion shoot as you have to understand and marry the music image with the body shape and style of the band. Its much more psychological than a fashion story as you have to ensure fans want to buy into that look.

Recently I have been working with EDDIE http://www.myspace.com/eddiemusicuk a four piece band from Brighton, it is rock/pop and fronted by a female lead with male band members. For me Larissa, the lead is like my Barbie, in the sense I get to play and dress her in lots of fun things while ensuring the boys look sleek. She has to be able to move and feel 100% confident!
The image is very much early Madonna and 50’s Grease meets Gwen Stefani.
So there is a lot of leather jackets, full skirt and high heels, Larissa is a shoe addict! We often talk to designers and brands to get the pieces we feel are right for the persona.
EDDIE are currently battling to win Hollypops to have the chance to appear in an episode of Hollyoaks! Voting closes on 21st July at midnight so please vote!
