Lipsy London autumn/winter collection 2010

 

 

Lipsy is a young British fashion brand founded in the heart of London. Lipsy delivers sexy and glamorous clothes that make you feel amazing. The UK brand is a favourite amongst the celebrities, gaining popularity especially among the La set including the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, ‘90210’ star Jessica Lowndes and Taylor Swift. Over here in the UK, Lipsy is consistently seen on the likes of Alexander Burke, the Saturdays, Pixie Lott and Sarah Harding.

Lipsy are quickly becoming the label of the moment with the brand available from Topshop, Selfridges, House of Fraser, ASOS, and with over 300 stock lists in the UK and mainland Europe.

Lipsy’s catwalk was focused mainly on the beautiful evening gowns and dresses. You could see from the catwalk that the big trends for autumn/winter were asymmetric and strapless dresses, faux fur and leather. The catwalk had a great atmosphere, and was a great look in to the collection. Here are my favourite pieces of clothing from their Autumn/Winter 2010 collection.

 

 One of the biggest trends was the strapless and asymmetric dresses. This beautiful strapless dress caught my eye because of the under wear as outwear body as the top half of the dress and the flared skirt with layers of black net. The combination of the two works well together and the other all look is edgy but feminine and makes it look more expensive and high end.

 

 

Another dress which caught my eye was this pure white asymmetric dress with diamante trim and detailing. The dress looked amazing as it flowed down the catwalk. It is a perfect winter party dress.

 

In the late winter faux fur is a big trend. This faux fur 50’s inspired coat is a gorgeous shape and colour that will make you feel snug and sylish.

 

This leather biker jacket with faux fur details is edgy, stylish and will keep you warm during the cold months.

 

This geometric print dress is a bold statement and is great as a day dress. The origami folding detail makes this dress a bit more unique.

 Lastly, the new watches by Lipsy are gorgeous! The charm bracelet watches are an interesting way of wearing a watch. I may have to start saving though, as they range from £35 – £40.
