Chanel gets Lively

Starting from humble beginnings, growing up in Tarzana, Los Angeles, Lively was originally not at all interested in acting, but since she bagged the major role of Serena Van Der Woodsen in the teen drama Gossip Girl, she has been a front row regular at Chanel shows.

 

Blake was chosen as the official face of the Chanel Mademoiselle handbag line, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, for her spontaneity and fresh, youthful image. “She’s a kind of American dream girl. I think she will become a great actress. It [the shoot] was an easy job because everyone fell in love with her,” says Lagerfeld. Since February her new best friend (the bag, that is) is never far from her side, and is rarely photographed without it. In addition to all of this recent success, it is also rumored that our favorite Gossip Girl could be the star of the up-coming prelude to the Sex and the City series, The Carrie Diaries. It focuses on the series’ character’s teenage years in the early 80s  which shaped her to be the talented writer that she’s portrayed as in the series. With all things going well for Miss Lively, I wonder how Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes will fit….
