The Australian model has been the face of Ralph Lauren and featured on the front cover of Italian Vogue, however, she told the Guardian of the struggle the shoot was.

“No one there had ever worked with anyone even close to our size before. No one knew what to do with us,” Lawley.

She fights for a world in which it is accepted for a girl to bigger than a size 10, which is deemed a plus size in the modelling industry. However Lawley’s aim is for a ‘variety’ of models to be on the catwalk demonstrating different sizes and races of women so that this becomes accepted by the masses.

She has designed her own swimwear collection, written a recipe book and has now taken up photography, shooting her ‘plus size’ friends to try and perfect photography of larger sized women.
