Wimbledon Special – And the Winner Is…

Whilst Novak Djokovich clinched victory on Sunday from the hands of Roger Federer, in an equally tight and well-fought contest I would have to give my personal ‘Best Dressed Award’ to the ever impeccably turned out Victoria Beckham.  Her dress (a preview of what is to come in her 2015 collection), with its tight body and perfectly sculpted deep V-neckline, which lead into a full A-line skirt, faultlessly created a feminine yet sexy silhouette. Without being too lavish, the clashing colours meant Mrs B stood out for all the right reasons. The horizontal and diagonal navy, white, mahogany and orange stripes gave the classically structured dress a modern and fashionable edge.  Perfectly balancing innovation and traditionally loved and flattering styles, the fashion queen once again reigned supreme in the style stakes.

Victoria and the Duchess make their entrance

Of course, it would be criminal to not mention a certain Kate Middleton when crediting the best dressed watching the final. Immaculate as always, the Duchess of Cambridge looked beautiful in her Jonathan Saunders wrap dress. Once again we girls who recycle our clothing on numerous occasions rejoiced in the fact Kate wore a dress she had previously showcased first back in 2012. With her trademark long locks worn in her favoured loose curls, who can deny the turquoise dress with its dark green rectangles saw the Duchess ooze her usual sophisticated style.

Kate we do salute you! You make us feel O.K about wearing the same outfit twice, but on this occasion I think Victoria just piped you to the post. So go on Victoria, give us a smile next time because the majority of the country credits you as an absolute style icon…therefore you certainly have something to smile about!
