Wayne Hemingway Supports R U the Face of Croydon

16th – 22nd June Croydon Town Centre will host the borough's largest and most inspirational fashion event to date. The Croydon Fashion Festival will be an entirely new creative experience featuring catwalk events from the leading high street fashion houses, alongside home grown talent from the graduates of Croydon College and local designers.
Last year the event attracted 300 young individuals, of which 60 were shortlisted, for the chance to take part in a professionally styled photo shoot. This year Face of Croydon promises to see an even bigger event and has the full backing from Wayne Hemingway MBE,
With the LEGI funding now achieved Croydon has a new chance to actively restructure the area with new building developments that are right for today but more importantly provide cultural change within the borough. Through fashion and its related sectors of hair and beauty this can be achieved and the Croydon's Fashion Festival combined with R U the Face of Croydon can inspire 1000s of youngsters throughout the 34 miles square borough. If Croydon is being serious about being the London's third city by 2020 this is an excellent way to start!"
The competition R U the Face of Croydon is open to all female residents in the Croydon Borough who are over the age of 16 and reside in the borough of Croydon. The eventual winner of the Face of Croydon will receive:
1. A Modelling contract with Rah Agency
‘Rah Agency supports R U the Face of Croydon and is delighted to offer the lucky winner a professional photo shoot and a year's representation on the Rah Agency website. Rah Agency books highly talented Models, Dancers, Physical Performers and Creatives for live fashion, entertainment & performance. We are looking forward to reviewing the talents of Croydon in this competition and would like to wish each participant the very best of luck!'
2. Entrance to Divinity Models competition:

4. A make over with leading International make up artist Iain Burton-Legge
‘I have been in the beauty industry for over 15 years and after travelling all over the world it's wonderful to be able to put my talents to something a bit more local! I am very excited to be a part of Croydon's Fashion Festival and in particular the Face of Croydon. What a wonderful way to help the talents of Croydon!"
During the week long fashion festival Croydon will also host a series of workshops and seminars to inform and update the general consumer on fashion and beauty related tips of the trade. This will provide a unique fashion experience for all concerned.
