Jemima Daisy’s Christmas High Street Binge
02-12-2008
Topshop's stock shows no exception to this rule. I am not a huge fan of Topshop in principle especially its ‘vintage' range but Christmas is the time of forgiveness and so I'm not going to hold a grudge. Besides they have some fabulous outfits for this party season.

- Dress – £130
This sparkly little number is bound to turn heads on the dance floor. There are also little cap sleeves that are perfect if you feel uncomfortable about showing off your upper arms. - Dress – £130
This all over sequinned maxi-dress is perfect if you want to look super-festive and sexy with out flashing flesh. The sparkles keep you in tune with the festive season while the style and shape gives you a sophisticated edge. - Knitted Dress – £45
Knitted and sparkly? Perfect! What better to float downstairs in on Christmas morning! The cute, bib shape sparkles look quite vintage-esque. Yes please Santa! - Play suit – £60
Ok, so it may not be your classiest purchase this Christmas, but this playsuit is fun and sassy! Boogie on down at your favourite Christmas party in this fantastic little number! - Dress – £85
The little navy dress is becoming more and more prominent in fashion and this dress mixes the navy with festivity to create a girly, sexy mix that would go down great in any party this year. - Bra – £18 Knickers – £5
I love this vintage style underwear set. It puts me in the mind of Dita Von Teese and a 1920's film star. Saunter around wearing this get up and you are sure to receive the gifts you want most. - All in One – £28
This vintage style all-in-one camisole is gorgeous and also comes in a gorgeous teal. It may not be your sexiest bet this Christmas but I bet its warm and looks better than the usual trackies and t-shirt nightwear! - Bra £14 Thong £5
What a steal! This gorgeous set of underwear rings in at under £20! The ruffled bra is romantic and cute and the thong (with three little bows on the back) is sexy and enticing. Sexy white or cream underwear can be hard to find but Topshop have hit the mark here! - Bra £16 Knickers £6
Smart casual evening wear? This is all you need! Seriously though – we all know that every single man on this planet looks just a little bit sexier in a tux. This set echo's a classic tux and reminds one of 1950's gangster movies. - Jacket – £120
This leather jacket is a perfect staple. You can throw it on over a sparkly prom dress, jeans or your work gear if you feel like going out for a post-stressful-day-drink. It'll also keep you really warm. - Dress – £38
This bargain dress is a beautiful jewel colour and the ruffles create a great shape for the wearer, emphasizing the waist. You may not look like an extroverted beauty like some of the outfits featured but this dress oozes sophistication – all for under £40! - Jacket – £55
This sequinned jacket is gorgeous and will festive up any low key outfit! And in the nasty, freezing weather that has settled upon us – it'll keep you warm! - Dress – £65
This dress is the ‘meet the parents' number. It is classy and sweet. The lace and embroidery follows on from this years gothic/romantic trends. - Dress – £50
Another example of the attack of glitter this year – but don't we love it! This dress's simple shape means you wouldn't look too OTT as the only embellishments are the sequins, not odd asymmetric shapes etc. - Leggings – £18
This shiny silver leggings will top off any out fit. I personally love wearing leggings as they were originally worn – as trousers! I think these leggings would look poking out under your LBD or as an accompaniment to a plainer all block colour outfit. - Cape – £30
Don't like your shoulders and can't find a shrug that wont keep you all restricted, sweaty and frigid looking all night? This cape is perfect. It covers the shoulders for a bit of extra warmth with a great big splash of glam. - Shorts – £30
These shorts would be hideous at any other time of year. But right now? I love them. Dance the night away, glittering on the dance floor! - Trousers – £65
For the dangerous fashionista. Many would feel afraid to wear these but if you reckon you could pull them off then do it! To wear these shimmering dream trousers you would probably have to be bursting with confidence. Strut is compulsory. - Leggings – £18
Wet look leggings. The gorgeous, must have accessory of the moment. Pick up a pair for a bargain £18 at Topshop! - Shoes – £25
A lovely pair of flat, cute, sparkly shoes. Just because you're not wearing heels doesn't mean you can't look glamorous! - Shoes – £50
Winkle-Pickers! These gorgeous manly styled shoes are cute and will look great with jeans, leggings, or a skirt. - Shoes – £80
Sparkly, fantastic, shiny shoes! These will perfect any outfit and give you fantastic pins into the bargain. The platform means you don't totter as high as you think you are! - Shoes – £65
Although it may be a little chilly for sling-back, peep toes but these are stunning! The diamante heels are as glittery as can be! Rip up the dance floor in these gorgeous shoes. - Slipper Socks – £6
Christmas must have. Keep warm this Christmas morning or tuck them into the ugg boots everyone seems to love wearing…STILL. - Bracelet – £10
Vintage looking, glittery and perfectly girly. Add this to your favourite dress for a lovely finishing touch. - Bracelet – £ 18
Add a huge sparkling flash of colour to your outfit this year. All over the catwalks this autumn we saw huge accessories and this is a good start on a budget. - Necklace – £27
This vampy choker is beautiful and glamorous. Beautiful. - Ring – £10
Shiny, sparkly and gorgeous. Pearls and diamonds are lovely of course but on a budget this is fabulous too. - Sleep Mask – £8
Ultimate luxury – sleeping in sparkles. - Necklace – £30
Huge bold statement piece – this'll glisten across your throat, gorgeous. - Bunny Hot Water Bottle – £6
Cute and fluffy – it's a great stocking filler and it'll keep you all warm and cosy on Boxing Day, as you nurse a hangover. - Gloves – £15
Shiny and warm. Need I say more? The style is very Victorian-esque and ties in with the romance of this season.
Topshop's stock is great this month. Remember this when you next speak to santa!
Look out for my next High Street Christmas Binge!
