Nalini’s diary week 3

10-01-2005

We also had some great new arrivals; Charlotte Keating, Michael Hall, Juilie Berube, Tit Fer Tat, Romeo Pires, all of which managed to record sales. Well done to the best seller of the week – Redstone.

What’s great about the LFF boutique is that the shop changes literally day to day so we always look fresh and exciting. The customers certainly love the new display of stock and the colour change makes the store look  fantastic; the new vibrant spring summer colours cheers us all up from the grey days of winter.

This week the girls and I have made a conscious effort to take pictures of the staff and our customers looking drop dead gorgeous in the designer clothes. We have had women squealing with delight at the Forest range which has beautiful sequinned garments for all age groups – they make the girls feel like superstars.

The very popular Actar Actar range continues to be a constant hit and we now have our regulars that come in just for a new outfit for Saturday nights.

Mami London and Redstone are the funky hot sellers that everyone wants to be seen in…  the jackets are flying out. Everyone wants the Mami cord because of the flattery silhouette with a funky twist.

Office parties and Christmas dos have still been the talk of the shop.  Here’s a sneak at the favourite outfits!

Nadia Ivanova is still one of the most tried on garments in the shop.  I have taken a few pictures to review the flattering shape and quirky designs.

‘Tit fer Tat’ and their cosy bags and hats were popular for Christmas presents and we have had NO RETURNS! This just goes to prove how popular they are!

We have had a lot of male customers in the boutique before Christmas and they weren’t even embarrassed buying the sexy and stylish underwear by Beau Bra.

We have been experimenting with in store display and our mannequins look the business! Ruth did a Sienna look then Alice went to town with Michael Hall, Toohoi, Wale Adeyemi and Tit fer Tat. All in all the entire boutique looked fantastic.

I have taken a few pictures for you to see how the boutique is progressing – each week our footfall is increasing. It is so exciting to work here and it makes you feel great because we are helping true designer talent make an inroad into retail.

As always I like to include the sales staff here on my diary. Here are some of the quotes from the girls for the week!

Alice Phillips – “Still loving it here! The stock is getting better day by day with the new arrival of designers. I particularly like the really bright and trendy hats and bags.  I love the stock so much that I’ve been changing around the mannequin everyday.  One in particular that I love is the “Sienna” – the mannequin I named and dressed on Thursday.  She looks really trendy with a real Sienna Miller look.”

Rachel Costa – “The shop looks fantastic this week and with the introduction of a few new designers there is a stock to suit everybody’s taste.  My personal favourite being Romeo Pires and in particular the “London Taxi” skirt.”

Rachel Skinner – “The shop now has a real variation of clothes, suiting all age groups; it looks really strong.  One of my favourite pieces is by Forest, the black with colour beading top and skirt; it is a very attractive classic piece, with wonderful detailing.  I just had to purchase this!”

Ruth Healy – “The week before Christmas was particularly hectic at Bluewater with everyone clamouring into the shops frantically looking for those last minute Christmas presents, as usual I was one of them.  Luckily for me I found half of my Christmas presents in LFF. So thanks to Michael Hall for his lovely soft shawls and Redstones for their funky tops.  You have saved my life (&feet!). All the presents went down really well with family and friends.”

So that’s it for this week…until next time.
