The Dulwich Youth Project continues….

 

 

The LFF are working with the children at The Dulwich Youth Centre in order to encourage them into the fashion industry.

 

 

The LFF are delighted to be working alongside this group of teenagers who attend The Dulwich Youth Centre in East Dulwich.

 

Last Tuesday Jenny and my self went back up to see them all.  Daisy and Samson the group team leaders was delighted that it was all finally coming together, it has been a joy to see them develop their skills in a way in which they too did not know.  The brief was to design a garment and to then see it through from a working drawing  through to production.

 

The two teams comprising of 4 girls and 3 boys each designed a garment backed up with colour and mood boards, they were then asked to source fabrics and trimmings and complete a detailed working drawing in order for our manufacture (Amelda from Gloria Fashions ltd) to complete the process.

 

We eagerly await the outcome of these two designs which will also be displayed at select Profile 5.
