Label Hunki Dori and their product Jean Jemsâ„¢ has received phenomenal growth over the last few months. Their journey has been one of many ups and downs but the husband and wife team Mark and Sharon have achieved so much in so little time.
To have a dream is ambitious to aspire to but to turn that dream into a reality takes real drive and determination. Sharon Edgley, Creative Director of Hunki Dori, has provided the LFF with a short account of recent events which just goes to prove that you really can reach for the moon!
“Exposure is key! There is simply no point in launching yourself unless you have had sufficient coverage or are building up your profile. Hunki Dori was featured on ITV’s This Morning by John Scott (a free lance fashion correspondent) last week. He said the gems were great pieces and “He loved itâ€. The pieces were shown very close–up on the camera and an explanation was given on how they work. Through this exposure Hunki Dori picked up a couple of new shops to stock their items. Hunki Dori was also featured in The Daily Express which resulted in much interest.
Current business ventures include a new online retail and wholesale shop which has recently been launched and expected to go live next week. Hunki Dori will also be on the www.fashioncapital.co.uk boutique so keep your eyes peeled…..I still can’t believe that this site now receives over 4m hits a month – incredible.
As with every business you will expect highs and lows such as manufacturing faults, returns, complaints and the very occasional grumpy customer.
