Nalini’s Dairy- After the Easter break @ Bluewater

The regulars are remaining faithful, and many are relying on us to dress them for their holidays and big events. With more and more new stock coming in, the customers follow happily, as we can see from the pictures from the week, we can see the customers and staff alike adoring these new collections.

Here we have the staff trying(1) ‘Mami London’s’ latest jacket, which has been a hit over the weekend, already nearly sold out completely, being a useful item to wear casually and to easily dress up for most occasions. (2)‘Emure’ has also brought in some new lines, as seen in this picture a customer trying on the godet dress in aqua, these were so popular, just in one day we sold out! There are also more jersey dresses in bright prints and an additional lingerie collection. ‘Actar actar’ have also extended their spring look with more casual skirts and dresses as seen here which are again helpful garments to have, as they can be used for either day or eveningwear. ‘Actar actar’ (3)have also used bright colours as an attraction to their market, by introducing prints like the following top  being very pretty and incorporating all the top colours for the season.

In the next week or so the boutique will change its window, to a new theme which is still under discussion at the moment, but to get ideas, as always we looked at neighbouring shops at Bluewater for inspiration! To our advantage ‘Republic’ (4)has opened a new store this week just below the boutique, so we checked it out! The team and I came to the conclusion the shop was definitely worth the refit and the labels available in store are top notch! The window idea is very appealing, spread out into three separate windows, and the centre window being occupied by not only mannequins; on the staff’s tea breaks at the weekend, they have the option of taking a break in the window for all to see!

Obviously this became a popular idea for our own window, but I do not think we can adopt this ideal I’m afraid our window space is far to narrow! The labels available in store are: Bench, Hooch, French connection (which are probably the labels that are too widely available from Bluewater), Von Dutch (which I felt was the biggest let down to the whole shop!), Replay denim and G-star for men and women. I was particularly impressed with G-star for women, because there are not many places in the UK that stock this, and they are a good quality denim brand.

The boutique should hopefully be getting some new designers coming our way including the following who have shown particular interest Evelyn Stone, Frocked, Elisabeth Poppe, Strumpets, more bridal designers and many more who have been calling me since Profile5. I am very excited about the new stock and the continuous growth of the store, the customers are always excited to see our new additions so it will be great for sales as soon as they all come in. If anyone who has beach wear or knows or anyone who perhaps sell well at Bluewater please do call me and get in touch.
