Week 11

 

The Real Hair Awards ceremony took place last Saturday at the Northampton Saints in Northamptonshire. It was a fantastic event, with great feedback from everyone that attended. We had great celebrity presence from Gina Akers and Desmond Murray, who both said that they were very impressed by the ceremony.

Now that the event is over, Huge Promotions are working on the Real Hair Awards post event magazine, so watch this space for more information…..

There are other events that any designer or fashion body should be on the look out for:  Pure and Off Price are two events coming up this year.  Visit their websites for more information, and contact them for exhibition rates.  If you are on a budget, we’d recommend you go along to visit the shows to see how they work, and perhaps hand out some goody bags or leaflets offering information or discount for your clothing ranges.  If you need help coordinating goody bags or media packs, we’d be happy to help.  Our team of designers and PR representatives are on hand to guide you.

Our current clients are selling in well to the press, glossy magazines such as Marie Claire and Elle are eager to feature our clients. We always keep our clients up to date with regular tasks and present them with ‘cuttings’ from magazines every week.

To evaluate the effectiveness of your PR, follow these hints:

Media evaluation should be an ingredient in assessing how your PR is working. With media evaluation you are evaluating how your company’s reputation or its products or services are represented in the media and comparing this to the competition.

There are a number of measurements and judgements to make when evaluating your media coverage:

• Where and when the article and/or broadcast appeared.


• The degree to which messages were picked up.


• Was the item generated by you / your PR agent?


• The weight of the media – i.e.: circulation and audience and the relevance to the target audience.


• The balance and tone of the publicity and the degree of favourability.


• Impact of visual material


• Comment or opinion.


• Size or length of article or broadcast.

 

 

 

 

One of the Huge Promotions strong points is media liaison, we work with top magazines every week, and because we have great photographers and fashion stylists the press are just screaming for our clients products.

Huge Promotions are currently liaising with Home Style magazine for a photo shoot with Chrissie Mason for her artwork ‘Lovely Art’. Huge have organised everything from arranging the meeting to the actual photo shoot itself. We always ensure that our clients are happy with the shoots before we go ahead. The photo is this Friday so watch this space for future press coverage!
