Miss Selfridge Introduces the
It maybe sales rails galore out there but there’s also plenty of new stock arriving on the retail scene. Miss Selfridge has just introduced a chic little look called ‘New York Doll.’ Think 70s tailoring and fine knit elegance, key pieces include black boleros, knee length puffball skirts, cord fold waistcoats, tank tie cardi’s and waspie leather belts. Autumn’s colour palette is creeping in with a great deal of black, smoky blue and bitter chocolate plus an accent of red.
Now On: The World’s Most Photographed
Just opened at the National Portrait Gallery is The World’s Most Photographed exhibition. Offering an engaging insight into the making of celebrity the exhibition juxtaposes iconic photographs alongside some unfamiliar and yet revealing gems. There is also an accompanying BBC Two series exploring the well-known subjects, which is a collaborative first for the National Portrait Gallery and the BBC. The ten part series started last Wednesday with a look at The King of Rock & Roll – Elvis Presley. Here’s the rest of the up and coming schedule:

Asian Lifestyle Show 2005
There’s also a good deal of fashion and jewellery, amongst many other things, to look over at this years Asian Lifestyle Show. The three day exhibition opens today and features daily catwalk shows, food, music and entertainment, and will cover all aspects of British Asian lifestyle from home improvement, education and recruitment, to business, property and travel.
