Hi Everyone,

 

This is the very last diary entry, as the Boutique closed down two weeks ago. It’s a real shame, it was a great project, a great place to work and meet interesting people and a great place to shop!

 

 

 

There are a few things you should still look out for, including an article in a French newspaper called ‘L’Express’, which will be out in September-just in case your’e in France! Also ‘Extreme Makeover UK’ have not yet confirmed the exact date of the show which will feature the Boutique, but it will be in October, so better just watch every episode just in case!

 

I miss the Boutique and my job loads, but am also excited about new adventures to follow. I hope you have enjoyed reading the weekly diary entries as much as I have enjoyed gathering the content and writing them.

 

 

I would like to thank lots of people. Firstly I’d like to thank all the Designers that showcased in the Boutique and basically made it what it was. There were hundreds! Including: ‘ICY’, ‘JPK’, ‘Teresa Seow’, ‘Tarbucktizard’, ‘Marion Thomas’, ‘Ruthi Orlin’, ‘Aura Bags’, ‘Nadia Minkoff’, ‘Anisa’, ‘Anna Wadsworth’, ‘Koru’, ‘Nadia Ivanova’, ‘Anuk Harvey’ and ‘Julie Berube’………………the list is simply endless!

 

I would also like to thank the numerous buyers, both national and international that showed an interest in up and coming British Designers by offerring them concessions and various other opportunities.

All the stylists that came into the boutique and borrowed garments and accessories, and gave Designers and the Boutique a tonne of publicity, are also owed a HUUUUGE thank you! Amongst these were: Donny Diamond, Gok Wan, Henny Letailleur, Rachel Fanconi, Fi Stewart, Natalie from Sunday Magazine (News of the World supplement), Maria Bellido from West End Review. All these stylists walking into the Boutique resulted in it receiving publicity in publications such as these: FX magazine, OK magazine, Sunday magazine, West End Review, Elle, Cosmopolitan to name but a few. Lets not also forget all the publicity gained from having a few moments on tv such as ‘The Mysti Show’ with Fearn Cotton and ‘The New Ten Commandments’, where I got a few seconds of fame! Thank you so much!

 

Lastly I would like to thank the team at Shaftesbury for giving us the unit for 20 months, therefore allowing the Boutique to exist in the first place. Thank you very much.
