Profile 6 – makes a statement with the F word

13-09-2005

Helen Jennings, Fashion writer Metro

“Great event, fabulous final catwalk show and invaluable exposure for new labels.  It was the accessories that really caught my eye, in particular Joanne Hynes’ woodland inspired range, Ann Ann and Lady Luck’s plastic fantastics”

How right these words from Helen Jennings are turning out to be! Profile 6 is on course to be the only place to be during next weeks fashion extravaganza. So much is happening next week that it will be easy for everyone to overdose on fashion completely but when you have an event that is so unique and exciting then the press, buyers and stylists will be there in force.

Without doubt the support of both Isabella and Gerry has made a huge impact on this seasons Profile line up….

Isabella Blow is a highly acclaimed stylist within the fashion industry and is the Fashion Director for Tatler. She is well known for her initial and on-going support for John Galliano and is credited as discovering the fledgling Alexander McQueen. A style icon in her own right, she has been an integral part of the fashion industry for over two decades.

“The UK is the breeding ground for design talent and it’s important that the fashion industry supports this great British tradition. Profile is a fantastic opportunity for young designers to display their collections to a great number of buyers, stylists and fashion writers. It’s great that London Fashion Forum is doing something worthwhile for our fashion industry.”

Music mogul, Gerry DeVeaux, is one of today’s premiere writer/artist/ producers. An acclaimed songwriter, he has worked with some of the biggest artists, including Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Angie Stone. His work has been featured in a number of acclaimed TV and film projects, including ER and Disney’s ‘High Heels and Low Lifes’.

He is further bridging the worlds of music and fashion by working closely with several international designers on various fashion and music projects as well as being Contributing Editor to Tatler, MTV Style’s Executive Style Editor and Roberto Cavalli’s Global Ambassador.

Gerry DeVeaux

“There’s so much focus on high profile designers and brands that it’s great to see young British talent getting an opportunity to break into the fiercely competitive world of fashion design with the support of some of the biggest names on the UK high street.”

So you really need to be there to sell the rising stars of tomorrow. Profile is different, it is quirky and has found it’s niche within the fashion world….it actually brings back the f word for fashion – FUN and in addition PROFILE dares to be different.
