Week 22: Business Inspiration
The weather may be starting to go dull, but Huge Promotions are still rising and shining! This week has been buzzy and creative in the Huge office. There has been many different projects happening between the team, some have been inspirational and creative to our clients while some have been influential to our business.
The Managing Director, Bethanie Lunn certainly knows her stuff when it comes to business, whether it is planning or problem solving, she is talented and inspirational to all of the Huge team.
Beth has recently been offered a role as a guest speaker in lectures at the University of Leicester, so she can teach her expertise to students. As you can see, its not just the Huge team she loves to inspire, it is also students, who are at the stage where they are considering their career paths.

Always look for opportunities in all that you do
If you don’t know, find out
Test the theory of the plan, check it works, pull together all relevant information, resource them properly.
Have an open mind, be receptive. Keep in touch with your goals as you progress.
What is your idea of how big you want the company to be?
Know what you do, what is your niche?
Go for the big opportunities – fish them out, the ones that take less time and create a higher impact!
Stretch, take risks – but make sure they are the right ones.
To grow your business you need to:
Define Your Goals
Identify where you want to take your business and what you want to achieve.
Other than making more money than you are now, have you written down a vision of what you want your business to be two years from now? Five years from now?
Target Your Marketing
Most small business owners waste their time and money pitching too broadly.
Do you have an effective method for identifying the people who want your products and services?
Use a Problem Solving Approach

Is your marketing focused on client’s concerns and problems or on yours?
Demonstrate Value

Do you have a method for staying in touch on a monthly basis with every person who could help you grow you business?

Many people find that defining their marketing strategy is the hardest part of their job. So hard, that many small business owners use a tactical approach instead. Don’t make this mistake!
Once you have clear marketing goals and a well-defined strategy, your marketing will be more focused and you can make more effective use of appropriate marketing tactics to grow your business. Shift to strategic marketing and you’ll turbo charge your marketing and your business.
Understand that it is your job to help clients generate referrals. Don’t expect them to remember that your business depends on referrals or to know the range of problems you
solve or the best way to talk about what you do.
Develop a plan for generating referrals. Be proactive in establishing expectations so clients know that you are continually looking for referrals.
Learn how to ask for referrals. Just asking, “Do you know anyone who can use my services?” won’t get you very far. Use specific questions to help clients identify potential prospects.
If you’ve been in business for a year or more, you should have many satisfied clients. Learn how to generate referrals and you’ll see your business grow.
