Profile 6 – with stars in their eyes

22-09-2005

Lisa B commented “I have been to many many fashionshows during my career as a supermodel, actress and a presenter but I am so impressed with tonight’s fashion show. It’s hard out there for designers to make it happen but this event Profile is just what fashion is all about. The calibre of designers on show tonight is outstanding”

Isabella Blow was equally supportive breaking off engagements to ensure that she enlisted her full support behind Profile

“It is just amazing to see such vibrant talent here tonight. Having shortlisted the entries with Gerry DeVaux the total event has been a huge success for everyone. This Profile event has my full support for young designer talent of today.”

Over the last two days press, stylist and buyer attendance has increased by over 50% on last seasons event with the highest ever reported footfall of almost 4,000. The 83 showcasing designers of ladieswear, menswear and accessories were all encouraged to use the Profile event as a PR launch pad inviting their own press and buyers. The LFF’s stand at LFW paid huge dividends with over a 1,000 catalogues being distributed during the four day event. Last minute attendance from a host of buyers was most welcome and Profile certainly titivated their fancies! One buyer from Malaysia was so impressed with the Gala they are taking Kiki out for dinner in a top hotel Good luck to you Kiki!!

The total event from trade show to fashion catwalk theatre was heralded as a huge success by designers, attendees and sponsors alike. It was fantastic to see representatives from the Mayors office, Creative London, DCMS attend too. The closer the links Government bodies have with industry the better! The unprecedented support this season from industry shows that Profile has made it onto the fashion books. With a new edge every six months Profile exceeds boundaries and expectations bringing much sort after sort after razz-a-mataz to fashion.  The days of moody models down a catwalk are over the industry needs excitement with a twist and that’s exactly where Profile delivers!
