Diary of Elevator Productions Ltd:

The creative hands-on communications team

Week 1

It has been an exciting week in the Elevator studio, we have secured a new client; B&B Leisurewear. We are creating their 2006 brochure, website and advertising.

The four-day photo shoot lined up for October has been planned out this week.  First of all, the mood boards were created and presented to the client, illustrating the visual concept we had outlined for the brochure.

Understanding the brand and its positioning in the market regarding competition, and its translation to the consumer is paramount.  The great advantage of Elevator is that we produce all of our own photography so we don’t experience any problems having to communicate our understanding to outsourced photographers.

Casting has been completed for the shoot; choosing the correct models is, as you all know, so important. Creating the right synergy between face and product is as important as setting the initial concept/positioning. Castings can be a nightmare as we have so many models turn up who want to be involved in the shoots we do, for the advantage of taking away fantastic images for their books, and also because of the sheer fun we have on shoots!

It’s not out of the ordinary for us to book a DJ and a PA on shoot dates to buzz up the atmosphere!

Blood and Glitter

Planning commenced this week for Blood & Glitter’s 2006 advertising campaign, with a focus on the Japanese and USA markets, after the success of the 2005 campaigns.  They have again given us free reign on the concept for their 2006 projects. Rock ’n’ Roll reinvented – we can’t wait!!!

Fiona Culley – Music Video

This week saw the end to the filming of the second video for up and coming singer, Fiona Culley.  Fiona is signed to Clix Records, a company also branded by Elevator.  The first single/video “I’m Home” was upbeat but focused; using 2D 3D animated cityscapes and location shooting at Rangemore Hall.

The latest single/video Daddy’s Girl was all shot in our studio.  The tongue in cheek Moulin Rouge style went down well with everyone, especially the crew!  With burlesque girls dancing in corsets and stockings, 18th Century carriages, mad old drunks, and the main man Oscar Ward clad in tails, top hat and tutu! At one point he was also wearing a beautiful hand made purple evening dress. His chest hair did nothing for it!

As you can see it has been one hell of a crazy week once again for us all here at Elevator.  We can give your company the same energy, and are here for non-obligatory quotes or chats to see what we can do for you.

“Elevator are not just another branding and positioning agency, they’re a hands-on all encompassing creative solution for any fashion brand.

Elevator remove the hassle and extra expense of outsourcing photographers, designers and filming/animation, With over 20 years of branding/advertising design and photography, Elevators setup is all in house and hands on. Speak to the people that are going to work on your project!”

We are attracting a lot of attention from London based fashion brands, despite the fact that we are located in a converted barn in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside!  Undisclosed brands from London have been approaching us recently to look at their positioning, re-branding requirements and all other creative needs, from photography, design, motion graphics, animation, filming and editing to DVD design.

Our attraction is our unique set-up; client focused, with an in-house and hands-on skill base.  We take away the headache from major fashion brands when it comes to their photographic, design, brochure design, branding, positioning, animation/video and creative advertising needs.

Although we are not in the city, our unique setup allows us to carry out each stage of a project without outsourcing skills; the standard of our work speaks for itself – something that cannot be ignored if you are serious about the future of your brand.
